When you are going through an adoption and you hit a snag (or just a 'snag' in life in general)-it can feel like literally the end of the world-- sometimes you feel like it is the worst thing that could ever happen....you feel like you are trying to be obedient to God and you question yourself. You wonder how much longer it is going to be now that there has been a delay....if you can read this story and still question if God really sees all that goes on in your life and if He really cares....how in the world can you question Him??? Do you think it is just coincidental that this 5 month long fingerprint delay miraculously culminated with a brand new life???? You HAVE to know that God is in the timing...it is all in HIS time, even when to us it feels like it has all gone wrong!!!! When it feels like the delay has messed up all our plans...God had it in HIS plan all along...to give us more than our feeble minds could ever even dream up!! See, in their wildest dream, this family was thinking they might have a baby by the end of the year, but God gave them more than they had even dreamed of...Of course, I have given a pretty vague story and there is SO much more to this amazing story, but it is not my story to tell...just wanted to brag on my God a little:)....He's just tooo good!!

ReplyDeleteLove this story! Especially since we are sitting here waiting on fingerprints to come back!! Such a great reminder of God's perfect timing! And I am so happy for your friend and their new baby girl!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm soo happy for them!!!! I think I know who it is, and now to go find out if I can find a way to congratulate them. :) I think we need another baby shower. ;)
ReplyDeletejennifer, i saw you posted over at christie's blog. we're really excited about your adoption. we owe so much of who we are as a couple to our time in china -- and our hearts are still there in many ways. i'm happy to find your blog, and will begin now keeping up with the process for getting your new daughter.
ReplyDeletemay God bless you guys, so that you can continue to bless others through your love and obedience.
