Last Friday, the 14th was a full day...not only did my friend Julie get to come that day, it was the birthday of one of my closest friends, Meia. It was also the 3rd anniversary of my dad's death. To top it off and to add a little distraction to the mix, my Alice finally got her tubes. When we saw the doctors, they said her ears looked pretty bad. Ear infection after untreated ear infection had left her eardrums sunken in and full of fluid the consistency of glue...so, needless to say, we couldn't wait to get her tubes in the hopes that she might be able to hear a little better and she certainly would have to feel better. We had to get there by 6:30 am and the procedure was pretty fast. She wasn't crazy about the nurse taking her away from me to go to the back, but they said she was asleep in no time. Before my hot coffee had time to cool, she was out and in recovery and we were back home by 8:30 am. She slept for about 3 hours and woke up happy and raring to go. No problems since...can't wait to see how her speech takes off...we have an appointment with the school to get her evaluated for speech on Wednesday:) Here we are waiting for our turn..she was a sleepy girl....

Love that sweet smile...

She just kicked back and waited like a big girl:)

Man, I love that girl....

I am behind on comments for the blogs I follow and just came to see what's up with you all. I am SO thankful Alice did so well with her tubes~ I know she can probably hear things now she had no idea about... that is a precious thought. :) Hope you get a good report with speech. She is just a precious doll!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso thank you for your precious comments for Jing. I know God is holding us tight and already knows what is going to happen. I am trusting Him in it all!
