We had a wonderful 4th of July this year...it has taken me some time to get it up, but here is our weekend recap! Will have to say that most of our actual 4th consisted of Charles and I up under the boat trying to get the rope out from around the propeller....nice!!! BUT....we had lots of other fun stuff to do to make up for it!!
First off on Sunday was church and that is the freedom we should celebrate most...our FREEDOM in Christ...without HIS freedom, there is NO FREEDOM...many people think of religion and 'church' as a long list of don'ts and can'ts, but once you experience His grace and mercy, there is NO bondage in a relationship with HIM, only His sweet freedom...
We had a fun day on the boat with friends and then after dark, we played out by the pool and waited on the fireworks...look at these sweet sisters:)
Max, their friend, Dylan and Charlie...
My sweet kids....looking so happy...not sure what Miss Priss is looking at with her little crossed legs..she is precious...
Then, the fireworks started and Alice went NUTS and Lucy was crying too....we ran upstairs with them....
she was HYSTERICAL....
poor little soul...
and this is how we spent the rest of the fireworks...worked for me
The morning of the 4th, we all got up and went fishing...it was Alice's first time...
Max LOVES to fish, so he was in heaven....

Lucy was more interested in the 'night crawlers' and boy were they some fat ones...
Charlie liked it for a little bit, but it isn't really his thing...
Alice's first fish....
She is awesome....an unbelievable little girl and so ready to try anything...
Lucy holding her catch:) She would cry if Charles did not let her throw every fish back...
My little piece of proof that I got to go..."the girls"....
and my sweet girlie little Lucy is the bravest of all...she would snap the worms in two and put bait on the boys' hooks for them...now THAT's a sister!!!
Can't forget our "4th of July Rocket Pops"....fun, fun, fun....
We had a wonderful weekend and lots of memories were made:)

first catch of the day....

Lost your blog but found it again! Alice looks like she is doing great! Nathan has had quite the adjustment but we are doing much better. Poor little guy has had so many things to deal with we didn't know about, including hearing loss. Anyway, I think of you often. Can't believe we were in China over 8 months ago.
