The Pre-(birthday) Party & My LoVeLy Present:)

For my birthday, our family, mom and my sisters family went to PF Changs, then back to my sisters for cake and presents. PF Changs is always a challenge since it is not a favorite of the kids, but it went pretty good. I just ended up packing the boys pb&j's and we let them take in their DS games. Lucy loves to "help" take care of Davis, so it was interesting to say the least:) Oh, such memorable times....I know in days to come, my heart will hurt to see these days again, so I am trying to take the trying times (in restaurants) for what they are--kids being kids in a stuffy adult restaurant!!

THEN, onto Regan's for a little cake, presents and crying....

We didn't get to Regan's until after the kids are usually in bed, so I knew it was only going to fly for a little while....a VERY little while, actually....Lucy was squalling in about 2 minutes, and, well, here we are, tears and all with my cake!!!

I got so many things that I loved...a classic picture of me and Regan eating beignets in New Orleans that I had been wanting a copy of, a yellow Fiesta Mocha mug and a turquoise mug, and several other fun things....but the thing I got that literally makes my heart pound, the thing that sends me soarin', that I want to just snuggle up with are.......


my lovely new set of books from my mom and sister...Coralie Bickford-Smith has designed the covers of these hardback clothbound classics...aren't they beauties!!!!!


I saw these on a friends' blog a while back, and let's just say, IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT and I HAD to have them....not only are they easy on the eyes, but they are many of the classics....Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Wuthering Heights, Great Expectations, Cranford, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Jane Eyre, etc.

Here I am, in what looks to be a very sweet dream.....I am in heaven!!!!!
