Turning Firty-Free

I had a wonderful Firty-Fird birthday!!! I have to call it that because that is what Max says and I promise you he has said my age free million times today!!! He is so funny!!! I got up and put on some ruffles (my favorite), got Charlie off to school and Lucy, Max and I headed to meet some of my sweet girlfriends for lunch at a local Mexican (one of my 2 favorites/the other is Asian) restaurant. They brought me treats..both had something to do with birds (my favorite)!! It was great!! They also brought a sweet treat from a friend that couldn't make it....try not to be too jealous....

So, me and the kids headed home and I decided I was going to grab my new Mocha Mug with a cup of (my favorite) coffee, my new 'sweet treat', my heater (another favorite) and I was just going to sit down....yes, sit. In the middle of the day....can you believe it?!! And boy, did it feel good....

Then, when Charles got home, we all went out to eat (at my favorite local Mexican restaurant, again!! BY CHOICE!!). Charlie really wanted them to put the sombrero on me and sing, but he did not want them to put cake in my face (like they usually do for your birthday). So, when she came to take our order he asked if they would sing and NOT put cake in my face...I have to say I was pretty excited that he was telling her that!!! Well, apparently what he said got lost in translation and I had a face full of whipcream. Of course, in the spirit of trying to teach him to 'go with the flow', I "thoroughly enjoyed it", but I think he was worried about me...it was precious. Of course, I forgot to take my camera...Then, we headed home to do presents from the kids...they each got me a different color Fiesta coffee mug...I was in dire need of them...and they were SO excited!! I was too!!!


Lastly, Charlie brought me a gift he had done himself, all wrapped and everything...here was the precious tag...this is what he always puts when he writes stuff to me...his 'loved' mom....gotta love him!!! He had made me a very creative card and had put $2 from his piggy bank in it...priceless!! This was the best birthday ever:) I am surely blessed!!
