Coffee, Coffee & MORE Coffee...

I am on a serious coffee kick. I used to be addicted, but I got rid of my coffee maker and bought a "4-cupper" only for use when we have company. I have pretty much had NO coffee. For years. ...then, came the Orphan Ministry fundraiser. We have an ongoing website: http://www.justlovecoffee.com/heartsofcompassion (it wouldn't let me insert the link, sorry) where you can go directly to this address, order Fair Trade Coffee (the farmers get a fair wage for their hard work), and for each bag of coffee bought, our Orphan Ministry, Hearts of Compassion, gets $5. No strings attached. You order, the farmers have work and get paid, (some orphanages get help too) and our ministry raises funds so that families can adopt...EVERYBODY WINS!!! This is a great idea for Christmas too...So, of course, I am thinking, you can't promote a product without trying it first. So...I ordered 2 bags a few weeks ago and have had multiple cups of coffee every day since. MMMM, sooo delicious. All before noon, of course...due to my inability to handle caffeine:( So, yes, I realize this is not a good thing, SO, I just ordered 2 more bags:) It is so refreshing to go to the mailbox, and open it to the intoxicating smell of freshly ground coffee. So far, African Skies is my favorite. Today I ordered Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Selam Tsehai ("Hello Sunshine")..can't wait to see what these are all about. Drinking coffee for a good cause....somebody's gotta do it!!! Pass the info on...

On an adoption note, I did talk to Karla (who is the Program Director for China with our agency) today...as soon as I get my China manual, we will hit the ground running....I called the Police Station today to see what days and times they do fingerprinting and have already made copies and gotten together all of the pertinent documents...birth certificates, marriage certificates, car title..made copies of our drivers liscences, insurance card, etc. Hopefully the manual will come tomorrow. I will be posting all along about what we are doing....the real paperwork is about to begin:)

With MUCH excitement,
