I Love Lucy

My sister, Regan (she is working on her website, so maybe soon I can post it!) took Lucy Lu's 3 year pictures yesterday in several places around the square downtown....she was such a little poser! I stayed for a little while, but Max was getting antsy, so I left her with it. Obviously, Lucy was in her element...alone with her Aunt Regan, wearing jewelry, getting her picture made, CHANGING CLOTHES-----YOU HAVE NOOOOO IDEA HOW MUCH SHE LOVES TO CHANGE CLOTHES-----she had a wonderful time. But, as I was sitting here tonight, looking through all of the pictures, I was just a little sad but oh, so very happy...sad because she is getting so big and she is looking like a little girl, not a baby,( although we still have baby hair)!! So very happy because she is such an absolute joy. She is an angel full of life with the most charming personality!! She is so beautiful and she melts your heart. Once you meet her, you can't forget her. And, to think, I thought that all I wanted was a house full of boys (now don't hear me wrong...I wouldn't trade my boys for ANYTHING)!! I thought, what am I going to do with a girl?? I don't think I will be a very good girl mommy!! Boy, I had no idea what I was talking about...from the first minute she arrived (and oh what an unbelievable minute that was!!!!! That story will have to be for another day!!!) I knew she was something special and that apparently God knew something that I didn't! I had no idea what it felt like to have a daughter and I am so thankful that the good Lord is giving me the opportunity to be her momma! I CAN NOT wait to see what our life together as mother and daughter holds...it is and is going to be soo special! I just hope she knows how much I love her and how God worked it all out so that we would be together"Every good and perfect gift comes from above" James 1:17
