Saturday

Today was a good day, even though Hua Hua got 2 more shots....they haven't seemed to give her any trouble at all. She cried for about 5 seconds and that was it. We did a little shopping today and ventured out a little bit. Several other families came in today and so, we will get to do a good bit with them in the next few days. I am realizing that although I miss my little ones so much, time is going by fast and before long our time here will be over. I want us all to enjoy her last few days in China...so far it has been an amazingly memorable trip...tonight we ate at Lucy's with another family with Lifeline-from Virginia...it was a wonderful time. They are here adopting their 9th child. Their Nathan is 9. Alice didn't make a peep during dinner....her face was down in her noodles and she barely came up for air. She is warming up to Charles a little more and he kept her in the room today while I went to do some paperwork for about an hour. She had a 45 minute bath...lol...but it worked:) She finally unshriveled:) When she realized I was gone, it wasn't pretty, but I came back. Slowly, she will understand that I will always come back. She is precious...fiesty and precious...sounds like some other little people I know:) Can't wait until they all meet...I think it is going to be fun...no pictures tonight...the bed is calling my name!! Tomorrow we have our "red couch picture" and will do some shopping...maybe I will post some more pictures tomorrow....goodnight!! Hope you all have a great day!

  4. I'm so glad you are enjoying your time in China! I know you are missing your other children terribly...but I'm so happy that you are (at least now) still able to enjoy everything - because you know what? If you are anything like me...as soon as you get back to America and recover from jet lag you will be missing China and longing to return. It's a deep, serious longing too. I fell in love with the country and its beautiful people.

    Hugs from Huntsville,
